La Valsassina

 

The vast expanses of green meadows, the crisp and clean air, the winding paths in the woods, the peaks that whiten with the first snow. And, without fail, the genuine flavors to be enjoyed by gathering around a laid table.
A few kilometers from the frenzy of the city, “our” Valsassina is rich in treasures to be discovered. Pasturo, headquarters of Carozzi, is also a place very dear to the history of Italian literature. Here Alessandro Manzoni sets the house of Agnese, mother of Lucia Mondella of the Promessi Sposi. And here the poet Antonia Pozzi was born in 1912, who dedicated splendid verses to describing her beloved mountains.
